Through evening lectures and discussions with leading Czech intellectuals you can enjoy meeting with tradition, culture, politics, and economics of this region, as well as with their view on global problems. The talks take place in different venues around Prague – places you would probably never visit – and provide you with a genuine atmosphere of the Prague intelligentsia.
Prague Café Talks derives its name from the phenomenon of inter-war Prague, where the intellectuals of different ethnics, religious and political persuasion met in Prague cafés and discussed various topics. You could meet there writers, artists, scientists, musicians, businessmen, patrons of art. It is (and was) not only Prague, but the whole Central European region, that is characterized by the tensions and conflicts between nationalism and multiculturalism, provincialism, and worldwide inspiration and impact.
